What can you say about a hose clamp...i put petcocks on all my gas fuled mowers, etc, and these were easy to deal with and sealed 100%

When opening the spring clamp, it may bend, if the pliers are not positioned properly.

On the box: Hillman 59736 5/8" spring action hose clamps. UPC 008236890150. In the box: 20 spring clamps, steel, painted light green. Made in USAThis is a box of small painted steel spring action hose or tubing clamps, also known as constant tension clamps. If you went to your local hardware store where they have the Hillman bins with the assortments of nuts, bolts, screws and fasteners these clamps would be one of those boxes. I was very frustrated at the sizing of these clamps as it was difficult to find the actual min/max dimensions (these clamps have a very small size range as they only expand about .07-.10"). I bought an assortment and this is what I measured them at:59732 - 3/8" size - .31-.38"59733 - 7/16" size - .39-.47"59734 - 1/2" size - .45-.53"59735 - 9/16" size - .52-.62"59736 - 5/8" size - .57-.67"Fully open these clamps go slightly out of round, I measured on the small side. If you are placing the clamps over a barbed fitting make allowance for the extra hose expansion at the barb, you may have to go a size up. Hope this is helpful.

When I saw the clamp I thought it was for a 1/2 in. O.D hose so I ordered it. The clamp I received was not for a 1/2 inch hose, I think , for clarification, you should state the size of hose the clamps fit. I still need clamps but will be more carefull next time.

The clamps work very well...but the sizing they list is hard to understand. Pay close attention or you will get size MUCH smaller than you want.

Metal clap gives out when compressed fully and losses diameter this not compressing hose enough. Pain coating looks cheap if you are trying to dress engine bay
