How to use your diving surface marker buoy ?
- Step 1:Unclip safety sausage from your BC and clip reel to D-Ring on sausage;
- Step 2:Remove Elastic and Hook & Loop ties then unravel;
- Step 3: Fill Sausage with Octo (back-up regulator);
- Step 4: Deploy by letting go so it will rise to the surface. Keep your finger in the center of the finger reel to maintain your depth and control of the Safety Sausage Marker Buoy.

This SMB seems high quality and well made. It's brightly colored and typical use. Good length at 5 foot. I will keep it with my scuba kit.

This is a nice surface marker buoy (SMB) with multiple helpful features. I used it during a week-long dive trip and was very pleased. Pressure relief valve helps avoid over-inflation issues. High vis orange with reflective top. I also like that there are two ways to inflate this sausage: oral and via octo. Its coated nylon fabric is far thicker and more robust than the SMB it replaced. Velcro strap has excellent adhesion; the strap and elastic bungee cord assure SMB closure when not in use.I remain puzzled by the claim that this SMB has a “weighted block” to keep it upright, which seems to be nothing more than two thin pieces of stiffener at the open end. Adding a reel and carabiner is required as this sausage does not include them. No stars deducted as this feature was not advertised.Very good SMB. Simply add your own reel and you are ready to descend.
