The molding is flexible, moldable and relatively thin. Where it falls short is the finish. The molding is a flat black but added a thin, cheap transparent film that gives it a glossy sheen. This started peeling as I installed it and molded it. Imagine as I drive the vehicle and expose it to the road and environment? This film will not last.I was fooled and sold garbage.

This item will not prevent a door ding in my opinion, returned item when I felt the material. Very thin
