I am disappointed with this bit. It's called a "through hole" bit, but it doesn't perform well. The chips accumulate in the spiral flutes and don't allow full depth boring. I purchased another bit previously from another manufacturer that performed much better

This is an interesting drill bit. The bit is constructed mainly of non-hardened steel with just the end - about 1/4 inch of the drill - made from carbide. I don't know how long it will last, but it should be very good for drilling hardboard. It appears to be well made. I just have never used a bit like this before so I am uncertain about how long it will last and its value.

This bit does the job. It drills a smooth, clean hole. Not much else you can say about a drill bit.
