When I say these things stink, I'm not referring to their functionality. I successfully used one of these cables as an extension for a runout sensor on a Creality 3D printer. No problems there. But the smell - OMG!The cables came in a sealed bag inside another sealed bag - and those bags were inside a separate, sealed Amazon shipping bag. Despite those 3 layers of bagged isolation, my wife exclaimed: "Why does that Amazon bag smell so bad?" (And this is a woman who frequently claims to not smell the toxic fumes I'm so sensitive to.) I placed one of the cables in a sealed container with vinegar and baking soda, and left it outside overnight. After a scrubbing with soap and water, it was only marginally less stinky. I will try all the cables again with more vinegar and then leave them in the sun for a few days, but I'm not hopeful.Imagine the smell of those dryer sheets people love to stink up their laundry with. Now imagine that odor being so overpowering that you can barely keep your lunch down. That's what we're talking about here. If I can't bring the stink down about 15 notches, I'll just throw them all away - because I would never knowingly subject delivery people to the stench of this toxic industrial waste.

I leave them plugged into the battery, coiled in the wires, then just pull it out to charge up.

I really only needed one of these, not five- but no problem.. These worked perfectly to extend the balance lead on my LiPo batteries for charging inside a fire resistant bag. The wire is very light gauge, maybe 20awg or smaller. But, that's about what the leads are off the battery, so no problem - very low voltage and low amperage, so heat is of little concern. Good value for the money. I suppose you can daisy chain several for more space, but who needs a 16" balance when the normal power leads are about 5"? Just my two cents.

I was very happy with these silicone wire extensions! Im chopping one end off for a Balance Charger cable! great wire, great soldering, and heatshrinking! all in all a solid set of wires I would trust with 8.7v!
