I didn't buy these to use as a mask, so I took a star off as they're way too thin to function as a mask - they may provide some UV protection, but that's it.However, I bought them to use as a neck covering, sort of like a dickey but without the chest area being covered, and they're working out fine.They fit comfortably and they wash and dry really well. I put them through the machine with my regular load, then hang to dry - ready to use the next day.
