I didn't have sand, so used a mixture of dirt and crushed granite. Because they include sealed watertight bags, it is working well so far and hasn't leaked into the actual bag material (which would eventually rot and decay). We use this on an A frame advertising sign to keep it from falling over in the wind. Good product.

I bought these to help weigh down the grill covers. The set comes with everything even plastic bags to put sand in without dirtying the outer cover bags. I am giving it only 4 stars because when trying to widen the clips they stop and then you can't tighten it anymore. Otherwise it works great.

There are your basic, functional sandbags with strapping that allows you to use them individually or in tandem. They come with plastic bags for you to fill with your favorite material and then drop the plastic bag into the canvas bag. Close the velcro and you're ready to be weighty! Each bag has a storage capacity of about 2 quarts of material. I found them easy to use.As a bonus, these bags come with simple carabiners and jaw attachments to clip onto a cloth tarp and bind to the bag. Great for securing the boat cover or an all weather tarp. Personally, I'm using them for photography light stands. My only negative is that I feel like they're a little small and I would have liked them to be larger and hold more ballasting material. Otherwise, really solid.

Truth be told, I don't own a boat and can't specifically say how they work in that capacity. I also have never purchased sandbags before so don't have anything to compare to. What I will say, it they seem to be of decent quality with stitching and materials.I will be using to hold a few privacy screens down on our artificial turf where we cannot stake them into the ground. They are perfectly sized and work great for that purpose. We do a lot of camping and stake our pop up into the ground typically, but there have been times we have been on cement for a sports game using our pop up and someone end up holding the thing down. With the easy clasps and carabiners that come with these, they will work for us that way too.I couldn't be more pleased to have nice looking sandbags for our back yard that aren't too small, aren't too big. I imagine they would do their job on a boat tarp perfectly as well.

I got these sand bags to help tie down the cover I have over my very large firewood rack. We had a wind storm last week and the wind completely lifted my cover off and blew it into the yard. It sits on a concrete driveway so there aren’t a lot of other options for securing the cover. I haven’t deployed these yet but I’m confident they will solve the problem. They include plastic zip lock bags for holding the sand. The bags of sand are then inserted into the fabric bags that are secured with Velcro. Each bag has a nylon belt and clip to create a loop/ handle. The hardware includes an inexpensive carabiner and a jaw clap that can be tightened to the edge of your cover. This is a good quality set. The bags have heavy Velcro at the top and could easily be used for storing other things if you wanted to use them that way. A+ for quality and design.

Okay, so I grabbed these sandbags mainly because I needed something to keep my balloon stands from tipping over, and honestly, they've been great. They seem well-made, no cheap stitching or flimsy material. The inner plastic bags are great – no sand spilling everywhere, which is always a plus. The clips and carabiners are super handy, and I like that I can use them separately or hook them together. I can totally see myself using these for other stuff too, like holding down tarps or even tent stakes when I go camping. They get the job done, and the price is right . I'm very happy with them.

I recently purchased a set of Marine Grade Sandbags for my light stand, and I am very satisfied with the build quality and size. These sandbags are perfect for both studio light stands and outside stands. The set of six is sufficient for three light stands, providing the necessary weight to ensure stability.Additionally, these sandbags have versatile uses beyond just light stands, making them a practical addition to any setup. Highly recommend for anyone in need of reliable and sturdy sandbags for various purposes.
