This seems like a nice starter kit for me. I plan on using this for projects that don't involve flowing water inside these pipes. Just want to eliminate the permanent cement so that can easily be taken apart.

This is a very handy and useful tool to make threaded PVC ends for threaded connectors. Comes with 3 sized dies for making threads that fit into the plastic die holder.

screws for holding die keep coming loose. It would be better if threads on handle were metal inserts.

Missed the "PVC" part. Won't work on iron pipe, but that was my error. Not worth returning as I may actually sometime need to thread PVC and the price was right. Read descriptions carefully - more than I did.

One look at it in person I knew it was garbage. The dies are ultra low quality and the amount of force you'd need to get this thing started would require a hydraulic press. I actually couldn't get it to work with a vice behind it for the needed pressure. I tried softening the pvc with a heat gun a little just to see. (You're not supposed to heat PVC it changes it's structural capacities). Didn't make a difference. The only thing you'll achieve with this on a PVC pipe is a bevel on the end. Even if you had the force needed to press against it to get it to cut, the plastic handles would never hold up, they would snap. It's almost like a novelty item or something. I've used some pretty low grade tap and die sets before but they actually would eventually work. This thing quit before it tried. 0/10 stars complete utter waste of time and money, returned as soon as I could the next morning.
