My boys are tough on toys, so I am always looking for more durable options. I cannot tell you how many plastic sand shovels, scoops, and buckets we have destroyed in our backyard. And on that note, these wooden and metal sand toys are great! We have used them in snow and sand so far, and will be using them in our mud kitchen when the weather warms up. I was nervous that they were going to be too small based on the picture of the measurements, but they are appropriately sized for my 5yo to use. A great little set of toys!

These are really well made tools for kids to play or practice with. I actually got these as sand toys for my 1 year old but they will make awesome gardening toys for her at some point soon. They're so well made and practical that I feel like I could use them as my primary tools. Will be very fun for her to use as she gets a little older.

Fun gardening toys for kids! All the tools are metal with wood handles. Various colors and various uses. 3 different shovels, 2 different rakes and a spoon. The wood handle is attached to the metal by a screw. My kid uses it in her sand box and loves it! Where the metal connects to the wood handle is a little loose because it is held on by a simple screw. However, I am thinking about reinforcing it by gluing the metal and wood together and coating the wood handles with sealer to make them last longer.

These kid sized garden tools are so cute. They appear to be well made. The "tool" part is made of metal and is secured to a wooden handle with a screw. The wood is quite smooth and should not cause splinters. I really like the bright different colors they add flare and fun to the sand tools. It is also nice to have a variety of tools, rather than just a shovel to dig with. My 3-year-old grandson loves playing with them! I would recommend them for the beach or even to dig in the dirt!

Adorable bright and fun colors, actual wood and metal, what more could you ask for? These are perfect for my daughter learning to help out in the garden as well as just have fun digging in the sand at the beach or lake nearby. They seem like they're sturdy enough to withstand being thrown around too, and since they're not plastic I think I could repair them if ever needed but I don't really see that happening.

We use these 6-piece kids gardening tools in our early learning center's playground, specifically for playing with pea gravel and digging in our large sand pit and they have been fantastic! The metal heads and sturdy wooden handles are durable enough to withstand the cold Wisconsin winters, unlike plastic tools that crack quickly in the transition from summer heat to sub-zero temperatures. The colorful set catches the kids' attention, and they favor the pink scoop and other shovels (over the rakes, probably because of the material we have on our playground), especially for digging in the gravel. They are great for digging in a sandbox or sensory bins, and we can even used them in our garden area. The tools are cleanable, durable, and the perfect size for little hands. My only concern is the metal edges, which could potentially hurt the children if they're not used carefully. However, as we closely supervise the kids, reminding them to dig, not bang the tools on equipment, or run with them. These tools offer great value, are versatile for different outdoor activities, and will last all year round! We will store them during the rainy or snowy weather so they hold up.

I absolutely love these beach and gardening tools! My nephew tested them out on the sandy "beach" by the local lake, and I was genuinely impressed by how well they held up. The metal construction with wooden handles proved to be much more durable than the flimsy plastic toys we've bought in the past. What really won me over was seeing how engaged he became with the different tools. The variety in the set—from shovels to rakes—kept him entertained for hours building elaborate sand castles. The bright colors made them easy to spot in the sand (a huge plus when packing up with a tired kiddo!).The size was perfect for his little hands, and I appreciated the safety features like rounded edges. No scratches or splinters, even after enthusiastic digging and sand-flinging!While we bought them for the beach, I'm looking forward to putting them to use in our garden this spring. It's refreshing to find toys that aren't single-use and can grow with him throughout the seasons. If you're on the fence about these, take it from someone whose nephew put them through a serious sand castle construction test—they're worth every penny for the durability and joy they bring!
