I have an old Ryobi 6" grinder that was missing parts for the support trays. When I priced replacements, they were going to cost as much as a new grinder. Ended up finding a used one on Craigslist for half the price, but that left me with the old Ryobi taking up space on the shelf. So, I decided to turn it in to a buffer. The guards come off easy, but these wheels are too narrow to be clamped by the stock hardware. I could double them up, but that means buying another set, and I don't think I will use them often enough to justify. Instead, I ended up 3D printing some spacers that fit snug on the shaft and allow the nuts to be tightened down enough to hold the wheels as long as you don't overtighten. Perfect.The wheels themselves seem ok, though I confess I don't have anything to compare to. They are a little "frizzy" and shed quite a bit when I first turned them on. Once I used them a little, most of the shedding seems to have stopped and hopefully they will even out eventally. They seem to be reasonably balanced. I just have the grinder sitting on a thin foam sheet and it's not "walking away" even though it is not bolted down.The compounds are bigger than I assumed, and it includes a sheet saying what each is for. What it doesn't tell you is which wheel is for what. Trial and error, I guess.Overall happy with the purchase to give some new life to an old grinder that would otherwise just be taking up space.

Wasn't expecting much out of these wheels. After approx. 45 min of use I can say I'm pleasantly surprised with them. No fraying, turning them at 3450rpm.Great budget wheels, I'll be buying more.

The pads started falling apart on the edges, but still held up for quite some time. And for the price, you can't argue. Plus you get 3 compounds thrown in!! I used them to buff and wax the pictured pipe after sanding/staining. First time ever and was super proud with my results.

Excellent quality pads and compounds, and a great use for the "other side" of my bench grinder as only ever seem to use one disc ever.No instructions on what each disc or compound is for or when to use. Luckily there are plenty of videos online.

Used to polish a plenum on my car. Used both my bench grinder and in a hand drill. Mostly used the rough one, it held up fine. The medium one tended to wear somewhat, but nothing serious.

I expected at least one of these wheels to feel more firm. Although they are all different, I think they are all on the soft side (great for plastics). Other than that, the wheels and the included polishes work well.

I paid $18 for this set. This is a great set for the DIYer or hobbyist. I guess if you are a professional you'll want something bigger/better but this does work very well.The set comes with 3 wheels (the yellow is the coarsest, the beige is the middle and the white one is the smoothest) and 3 grits of compound to match them (black, brown, white from coarsest to smoothest).It fits on a Harbor Freight 6" grinder (I needed a couple of 1/2" washers since these wheels are thinner than the 3/4" grinding wheels that came with the grinder) and works very well. I used it to polish a small steel rod and it did it very quickly.

Worked well for me to sharpen ice auger blades using the dark paste and to brighten up my alluminium panels on the snowmobile. Works well.
