LOL it is now October 19, 2022 and this listing has been changed to reflect the POLISHED GOLD.Below is my original review, September 26, 2022 - before the change in the listing. I haven't been contacted for a thank you or anything hahaha. Just told there will be a restocking fee if i try to return it.THIS ITEM IS GOLD POLISHED - MISLEADINGThe listing mentions NOTHING about it being polished, let alone gold. The picture shows a regular brass finish/color. The item comes with only the gold polished side protected with a film. The other side is all scratched up from shipping since it is not protected. That unprotected side might have been considered as a match to the picture and text of the listing but it is 100% unusable since it is not protected and totally scratched up.

This a very nice kick plate at a good price. It was easy to install. T he plate protects my 50+ years old door from getting kicked and gouged.

My review is for the product, not the seller .... as mentioned above, nice kick plate, high gloss brass finish with brass screws .... I ordered a 6X30 inch plate, it arrived quickly, only problem is they sent a 6X34 inch ... my door is 32 wide .... luckily I'm a builder and have installed or modified a few dozen kick plates in my day, not worth the hassle for me to return, or risk handling/damage and it for my own personal house ... because it's an aluminum with a brass finish it was easy to trim off an 1 3/4 from each side with a straight edge and a razor knife and drill 4 new screw holes... somewhat annoying to get the wrong size and have to trim and risk damaging item ... trimming of the plate and installation went well ... I would recommend (but correct size) ... as an install tip: tape plate in desired position and mark screw holes (pre-drill) and tighten screws gingerly so to not over dimple the plate ; )
