The eyelet for the taper is too small. Wax congeals too easily in the barrel, and the opening where the slide to extend the taper is sharp. I cut my fingers on it four times! I'm buying a more expensive and hopefully more sturdy piece to save my fingers. I'm spending a fortune on band-aids.

The screw to hold the bell on was super short and would not engage when using the washer (per directions). As it is without the washer, the screw has maybe half a thread engagement. Otherwise product is fine.

The fundamental problem is that the wicks are difficult to move up and down once you've used them.This is becuase the melting wax easily drips back into the slide causing a huge mess.We've wasted our money because we now have to buy the more expensive - but MUCH better - oil-based lighters.
