Decided to put up permanent hooks for Christmas lights on my second home. I've used hooks that were zinc or brass plated and they always rust after a year or two. Sold brass works OK, but brass tends to be weak. These stainless hooks work great, they'll never cause rust streaks on the fascia board, and they'll outlast the house.

Have placed in position and used several outdoors to hang Christmas lights, a few months on and they have rusted. Not fit for purpose.

These hooks came all loose inside a small ziplock type bag so don't expect much for packaging. However, the hooks themselves do seem to be of good quality. I used these under the eves my home to hang some Christmas decorations, but I do plan to leave them up there yearlong. Since I live in a pretty wet area (PNW), I wanted stainless so that they don't rust. We'll see how they hold up over the years but I can tell that they seem to be made of good smooth and shiny steel and I don't expect them to start to rust quickly.

So far so good. I have used to hang Christmas lights and will see whether they are truly stainless steel when exposed to winter weather
