First thing to know is the item cable is made well and strong for most uses that require push or pull accuation. The item is steel not plastic like some sell. Will last longer.Depending on the use you for it check the hole size and distance apart. Or you will be drilling the mounting. Biggest check to make is the cable length you need. This is important or it will not reach the linkage or spot your hooking it too.I bought this knowing I would be taking this apart to use on an older set up. Worked for me as planned. Good Luck with this.

I bought a spreader that had a plastic lever to control the flow of the spreader. It broke within 2 uses. Purchased this one to replace it and it has held up well
