The quality of these dots don't seem as good as others I've used. Seems I need do a few more passes with the scanner to finish a scan with these dots.

these tacking dots work exactly how they should. they stick well and my scanner has no issues tracking them. they can be a little hard to remove sometimes depending on the surface. if you do any 3d scanning these should be in your tool kit.

Great scanning dots for my creality 3d scanner. You need these for large surfaces that are hard for the scanner pick up. If there are no surface features, the scanner can't see, so these allow you to add visibility. The resulting image does not have the dots, these just aid during the capture. You still have to scan your item over and over to build the image matrix, but that is just how the cheaper scanners work These dots work with any of the scanners. These don't stick very strongly, so it is easy to pull them back off when you are done, leaving no residue. The price is good for the 500 you get, and they get the job done!

My scanner works great with small items out the box, but anything larger than a few inches in area, especially flat surfaces or symmetrical where something repeats. That is when the problems start, the scanner loses track and misplaces an area for a similar area elsewhere. That’s where these come in handy. They break up a plain or repeating surface into something the scanner can more easily track and work out in 3D space. It means you can scan much larger items with more accuracy and less post-editing.They aren’t cheap, but you get 500 of them. That’s plenty for the projects I do.

Similar to the other tracking dots I've used, these are a little hard to remove from the plastic backing. That is the only thing that is a tad bit annoying. -But ALL of the dots I've tried are like that, so I won't fault them for it.They stick well and work perfectly for keeping your scanner on track. I have found that sometimes I'm a bit conservative with the dots and lose tracking, but with the addition of a few more dots the scanner tracks great. -so there's that little bit of "user error"...Reflective, stick well, easy for the scanner to "see".... what more do you need?

I have received great results by using these. The reference points they provide do seem to allow pick up of more detail in my scans. I have no comparison to others on the market, but do believe these serve their purpose very well.

Simply put they work. They help the scanner pick up details on larger objects by having a point reference during scanning. Without this you lose detail. I don't like the price but they are needed for 3d scanning accurately because scanners right now don't operate as well without them.

I picked up a Revopoint Metro X when they were crowdfunding them. I have been having a field day 3D scanning items, but as a result of that I am burning through my markers. I try my best to reuse them where I can, but eventually the adhesive gives out or I damage the marker as I peel it up off of an object after scanning. So, I am always looking for more markers. These markers are made with a retroreflective material and have a black border. They are easily registered by the software and work well. The adhesive is strong enough to hold in place and have no worries about falling off and does not leave a residue behind. These markers give excellent registration in the scanner software, and I would recommend them to anyone needing retroreflective type markers for their 3D scanner.
