I have been adding our replacing the lights around my house with led units. Since adding some recessed lighting I saw a youtube video where the installer had these plugs to keep the wires more secure.

This review is for a 30 pack of 1/2 inch size.Note that the product info / images here are mostly inaccurate. It shows these clips being used more like a cable tie to bundle several wires together. That's not at all right nor what these are intended for. These are essentially a plastic cable clamp to be used when running wires into a junction box. (I added photos). These work quite well. Easy to install, hold cable securely, fit in a trade-size "1/2" knockout just fine. I tested with a 12-2 NM-B cable. Also easy to remove again if needed by squeezing the outside and pulling out.Possible to insert over an existing cable though not an optimal method. The plastic is a bit stiff and I worried initially that it might be prone to brittleness, but that has not been the case so far. I wonder after many years however if these would break if you try to remove them -- but that would be an uncommon thing to do.However the rigid nature of this plastic does scrape the cable jacket a bit. Probably not really harmful but a little surprising. A softer plastic probably would have been a better choice. Scratches are visible in the photos.

It a no brainer to use item. Easy to use with no tools to put it on and it do its job. I never known that this come in plastic until I started browsing Amazon
