The knives are sharp-ish, though you can tell that they never were honed. They were reasonably packaged to avoid shipping damage, but the real bummer is that they are not 11/16 width as advertised but averaging about .640 inches. Completely useless for what I bought them for, but I can at least use them in a different jointer that uses 5/8 knives. My guess is that they are sized to 16MM and the seller thought that was close enough.
