I bought this unit to connect a Ecoflow backup power supply to power my computer system as I needed. I bought some extension cords and cut them in half and connected them to this unit. I hooked up my computer system to this unit and turned on the Ecoflow unit. I was able to switch manually my input powers (including my normal AC) to the output connectors and to my computer system. After turning on the automatic mode, I switched off my main AC power, to this unit, and it automatically switch over to the backup unit. For my computer system, I use the manual mode, most of the time, because even though this unit switched over quickly to the backup AC source, I am afraid that this short loss of AC power would shut down my computer. I do not see how a mechanical device, like this unit, could switch over any quicker than this unit does, and I am quite happy with it!
