- Anywhere from 75 to 90 pounds of sand considering the base can handle 5 to 6 gallons of water.
- Do you have to inflate the punching bag every time you use it?
- We suggest you inflate it periodically as it's normal that the soft PVC material stretch over time

We ordered this punching bag for my son. I ended up filling the bottom with sand, and it would stay upright fairly well. The sand amount that was called for didn't totally fill the bottom compartment, so after a while of vigorous punching, the bag would need to be adjusted. It did seem to have a slow air leak somewhere, but we just added more air during the times we would get it out. We had it in our garage and would carry it out to the driveway for my son to play with. Unfortunately, he ended up dragging it across the concrete, and now there's a more significant hole somewhere (although we can't easily visually find it), and it won't hold air.I think this could be a great punching bag for a kid if you're able to leave it in one place and don't mind adding air every so often. Our problems seemed to come from carrying it around and using it outside.

I have bought a Spider-Man punching bag and a Hilk punching bag. The hulk came with a hole in it and the Spider-Man lasted a week. If they were a dollar store balloon this is a solid rubber tire. My son has used and abused this for a while no. Tackling it, jumping on it, punches kicks… No issues. For a few dollars more buy this one!

Review of the "Punching Bag for Kids, Hopower 63'' Kids Punching Bag Inflatable" , just in case they change the item but keep the reviews.Great little bag. Easy setup. 3 different chambers. One for the weight - sand or water, I used sand. And two separate chambers for air fill. Has satisfying sounds too it when hit, that you feel like you're placed into an action movie. Appears to be well thought out regarding the engineering of this bag. Also the vinyl is okay and holds up well.However have to be careful with any of these, not to over inflate. I think that's where a lot of people get leakage or holes is because they are putting too much air into these. You should be pumped up where it's somewhat firm, but not bursting at the seams. It's easy to over inflate these I think. Any of these type of punching bags that is.

This punching bag is very tall. It has a cute little ninja on the front that my son thinks is "very cool". It does not come with any sort of air pump, or boxing gloves. I tried an electric pump, and a hand pump to inflate it. The hand pump worked much faster than the electric one. The base needs filled with sand, or water. It can be whichever you prefer. I chose water. Getting the entire bag inflated, and the base filled with water is a bit of a process. However, it's nothing too difficult. It just takes some time. There were no leaks, but it does come with two repair patches, and instructions for how to inflate it.
