Function:
Prevents front hub vacuum leaks that would cause the 4WD to not engage and covers in oil to prevent corrosion

Definitely want to own this tool. Makes putting the axle shaft together a lot easier and reduces the risk of putting together wrong.

Contrary to some of the reviews, this tool fit the axle and knuckle of my 2011 F250 perfectly. It allowed me to drive the seal on the axle straight and then install the axle assembly in the knuckle very easy. It made short work of the whole process which looks harder in the videos than it really is. I used an 8 Lb sledge hammer to drive the seal on and there is barely any marks on the seal driver. I highly recommend this tool

I’ve done many seals with a punch and a hammer. Just for the chance to make it easier I purchased this. It saves me at least 10 minutes and is a lot easier than a hammer and punch. Definitely worth the money.

It makes working on your axles so much easier with this tool and seal replacement easier also. Really don't know if I could have done it without this tool. Highly recommend!

made the job a lot easier. I'm a don't need a driver, i got something around here to drive it in with. well im glad i did get this one it damn sure helped. there harder to drive than i thought and keeping it straight would be ruff without this tool. I've used it and now i got a fancy boat anchor

This product definitely makes the job of replacing seals easier. Price isn't too bad. Only downside is I won't need for another 10 years lol

Cannot do this job without this tool. It sets depth and gives full support to seals so you do not bend or destroy them trying to install them. Not that you do this job all the time as a diy like me but every mechanic needs this tool.

Like all the other reviews, it doesnt fit over axle. I gave benefit of the doubt. It didnt work.You would think that selling on a place like Amazon you would repair the issue.Nope!!!Just dont buy it.Good paper weight though.

I used this driver on my 2010 F350 front diff. It looked and felt great but the machining was not accurate and it was a couple thousands too large to fit. I spent hours trying to reshape it enough to make it work. Once it was turned down to size the back end caved in when using a hammer to drive the seals in. It did the job and installed the seals but definitely is not a tool that a shop should purchase if it will be used on more than a couple rigs. I may weld a more substantial plate across the area you hit with a hammer to extend the lifespan.I don't plan to use this tool very often at all so it was acceptable for my needs but the fact that it wasn't machined properly was pretty disappointing.
