Sometimes the ratchet doesn't want to let go. Especially as i push the bike, the wheel will rotate the chain and pedals. Maybe it just needs breaking in or maybe it needs better lube inside. The inside is not accessible without extra tools, and possibly losing bearings, so i hope they don't expect me to pull it apart. The outside was greasy so i assumed the inside was pre-lubed.

Watch the Park Tool videos on Amazon to determine what type of sprocket you need. It helped me identify mine because mine had "FALCON" printed on the inside ring which meant I needed the Park Tool FR-7 removal tool. Believe me! You need this tool to remove your old sprocket and I also needed a nice long breaker bar and 1 inch socket. This sprocket uses a slightly different removal tool but you don't need it to put it on! The chain will tighten it as you ride. I was concerned that the inside threading would be different than my "FALCON" sprocket, but they were the same. I used regular grease as my anti-seize compound so if I ever have to get this off again it will be a lot easier. I also bought a plastic spoke guard to go behind the assembly, Just do a little searching and you will find one that will fit your bike on Amazon. So My freely wheeling sprocket, the tool, and the plastic spoke guard totaled under 40 bucks to fix my $200 bike. It was A little harder than changing a tire but just watch those videos I spoke over earlier. Park Tool is an excellent resource of knowledge.
