Hard to replace, I had to remove the dash in my 1997 Ford ranger. There is a total of 4 bolts. The bottom 2 are easy the top 2 are blocked by the back of the dash.

I was very wary about buying this since a lot of after market parts don’t fit this old thing but to my surprise it fit like a glove! Some tips when changing the assembly change the bushing on the push rod for the master clutch cylinder it’s a little plastic piece the push rod goes back onto and also would check your stoplight switch mine somehow broke in the process of doing the repair. Take pictures of how it is before you take everything off for a reference! If a girl can do it you can do it! 😂
