They worked just as you would think. I used them on a metal cabinet to vent spray paint can fumes. I used a metal hole saw that was just a bit small, and I used a file to make the hole big enough to fit the vent.

Theyre not a true 2", so as long as you use a 2 1/8" hole saw, you'll be fine.If you want a really tight or snug fit without relying on bending the tabs out, try 2 1/16" hole saw. Itll be tight fit, but in some materials, it will work if you are careful.

I first used a 1 inch spade bit the vent fell out. Then us a 15/16 spade bit and vent would not fit in hole. Finally wabbled the 15/16 inch and the vent fit with a little persuasion.Maybe using the 1 inch and some contact cement would also work.
