They're the wrong size for twin cam Harley touring bikes and the rubber material is hard and tears easy

It's cold in Iowa, so I warmed up the grommet with a heat gun and it slid right into the frame and held my side plastic perfectly. Now I have a few spares if another one breaks.

I am pretty mechanically able and these things are just not right. Yes, with some lubes and a little wire brush wheel to remove some of the rubber i did get it to fit but overall i would not recommend.

Although I only needed one, what's the harm in having extra?They are definitely stiffer than what is currently installed on my bike - and basically impossible to install - UNTIL YOU HEAT IT SLIGHTLY.A few seconds of heat from a heat gun, or even a hair dryer, will make it pliable enough to be pushed right in with just a little help from a flat bladed screw driver on the edges.HEAT IT and it'll slide right in.

The grommets starting breaking when removing side covers on my 11-year old Harley trike. These grommets are a very suitable replacement for the OEM grommets at 1/4 the price!

One grommet wore out so finally ordered these to replace the replacement grommets I bought from a auto parts shop and their guesstimating. Don’t even try to install these without first soaking them completely in straight soap. Take your time have patience and they will go in, eventually. To help mine go in I did have to se a flat blade screwdriver to pry in. Now I don’t have to worry about losing my side panel.
