I read every review and found myself still skeptical. I finally bit the bullet and did the patching myself. Honestly, I did not do a super thorough cleaning job, as some of the other suggested, just a water-wipe without any kind of detergent. These patches stuck and sealed beautifully and have held up against some very powerful leaf blowers. I highly recommend.

So far so good. Easy to use. Seems to be thick enough to stop holes from expanding. Stuck on even in below freezing weather. Will reevaluate when cover comes off in the Spring.

I'm only 2 months into applying the patches, but I already have one patch (I applied 15 patches across my cover) that has come unstuck from the cover. It is POSSIBLE I failed to apply enough pressure when applying the patch OR didn't clean the cover well enough prior to application, so I don't want to discourage folks, but certainly make aware that it isn't just "slap on and they always work".Having said that, the other 14 patches appear to be holding strong without any sign of disconnecting. Additionally, I was able to use scissors to cut the patches to smaller sizes (make sure you round the corners), so I could extend this purchase to a broader number of smaller holes. I would still purchase again and make sure I applied enough pressure AND cleaned the cover thoroughly prior to application.

I bought this kit when there were only 2 reviewers who gave it a 5 stars. I was a little nervous since it only had 2 reviewers. I put the 8 x12 inch patch on a 9-10 inch rip in our in-ground pool cover on a Friday. It was around 39 degrees F. It kinda didn't seem like it was sticking that well. Nights were about 28-29 degree F so I was worried on how it would stick. I also put it on the bottom of the cover. There were no instructions. I installed the cover on Sunday, 2 days later. These safety covers install pretty tight. That patch is sticking very well. The rip is not opening up at all. So far very happy. Granted its only been 2 days . Hope it holds.
