Although this product looks extremely Similar to bowls I had purchased many years ago. It was not the same quality. The wood is extremely thin, and in fact had minor cracks on the surface rims.

Grew up eating salads in bowls like these. These are inexpensive and remind me of yesteryear. For the price can't go wrong if you want your salad in a wood bowl.

These set of wooden bowls are my mom's favorites, they look nice in size and is not to thick but one of them arrived broken. Not sure if it had anything to do with being shipped in a standard poly bag instead of a box.

If you are wondering about how the bowls will " hold up" if you have to soak them for a few hours, I have been there done that. Many times. If you are concerned they might tear apart in your dishwasher, don't be. I got lazy, and put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher many times over the past year , and no problems. ( I figured if they got ruined, lesson learned, and I'd buy some more.)They are thin, lightweight, and easy to store. They're perfect as a rustic candy dish, popcorn bowl, salads, and even soup bowls.I absoutely love mine, and I feel they'd make a great gift for newlyweds, avid RV ers, etc.

Awesome these bowls are still being made and nicely made I might add. Light also making them easy to wash.

We had this type of set as kids. I was excited to order them for the nostalgia. When I got them one had a hole in the bottom and the rest are rough and very very thin. Probably could put fork right through bottom. I would pass if looking.

I've had salad bowls just like these before. They are long-lasting, sturdy, and dishwasher safe.A very convenient size, at a fair price.

These are very lightweight wooden bowls. I have older ones that I had for over a decade at home that are much heavier and thicker. We use the new larger but light bowls for popcorn. But because it is so light, I already know that these won't last as long as my older ones have. I don't know how one would be able to tell the thickness of it when buying them online, But for myself, in the future, I will definitely try to find a way to purchase the thicker wooden bowls and know that it is worth paying more for them. Also, the finish on these bowls is not smooth, some parts are not well sealed and jagged, and the uneven parts catch my scrubber when doing the dishes.

These bowls are attractive and practical. I've used my bowls in the microwave several times, no damage. I wash them along with my other dishes (I don't have a dishwasher) with no problem. The bowls are large and sturdy enough for most meals. Only one drawback--they are made in China. I just hope they weren't made by slave labor.

We have owned and used two sets of these for nearly a year now and none of my concerns have materialized. I was mostly concerned that they would delaminate with use but not so. We hand wash and do not microwave with them. The finish seems to be holding up well despite the frequent scratching with salad forks. My only unmet wish was that they would be of thicker material, but given how well they are holding up, I cannot fault them on that issue. If and when the finish does show wear, I will apply some catalyzed lacquer to them.
