One of the pieces of wood was broke in half so you could see the styrofoam so you couldn’t use that piece of wood in the fireplace.

I found these fire logs to decorate my fireplace. I don’t plan to light up the fireplace at all so I’m not sure how it is holding up against the fire. They are cute looking and light weight. They might be hollow in the center, so I would not put them on a drop test. I would not call it realistic looking. The logs are more like work of art, hand painted by someone.

I was on the hunt for some new gas logs to replace the sad, charred remnants in my fireplace, and I honestly wasn’t expecting much—just something functional. I was happily surprised when this 6-piece ceramic birch log set arrived! The size and quality of these logs blew me away. I was only planning to use the smaller ones for my indoor gas insert, but now I have extras that I can mix and match for outdoor fire pit nights. To this point, the set included two MASSIVE logs that just barely fit in my fire place and looked oversized. If you have a larger gas fireplace (err... larger than the contractor-grade fire places installed in most homes), you'll really love all the different sizes.And despite having to bench (for now) the two large logs, the rest of these logs look fantastic and really upped the "cozy" factor. The birch wood detail is super realistic, and, like I said, the set has a great range of sizes. I only used a few of the smaller ones to replace and mix-in with my old logs, and the difference is night and day. My fireplace looks like it belongs in a cabin in the woods now (minus the smoke and splinters, of course).Speaking of realistic, my wife walked by while I was setting these up and said, “Wait, why are you putting actual wood in the fireplace? Won't it make an ashy mess?” Took her a full minute to realize they weren’t real!Five stars all the way—these logs are heat-resistant, stackable, and reusable, making them a tremendous improvement over what I had before. If you’re looking for an easy fireplace upgrade that actually makes a visual impact, these are it. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfect for decoration in the fire pit once you're done adding wood etc. and just want to sit around to enjoy the heat and stare into the fire. Great item.

These faux logs are slightly cartoonish, in that they don't look like real logs. They are not really trying to, but they still look good in an obvioiusly fake way. The birch aspect looks nice in fireplace that isn't used much, say in LA, because it brightens things up.

This set is lightweight and they are painted to be quite realistic. The 6 logs allow you to make a wide variety of arrangements. My grate was a bit small so I had to set one of the large logs sideways. We don’t plan to use the fireplace so these are just decoration. If you use gas or LP be careful of how you arrange the logs or you will get a lot of soot. I don’t think the paint will endure repeated cleaning to remove the soot. Overall a nice set of logs.

I ordered these to put on my propane fire pit to give it a little more of a natural wood look plus it does add just a little bit of heat with the ceramic getting heated up. They look great and they look real.
