This is not a good option if you’re trailer that you’re pulling has electric brakes. Mine did, and had I not stopped to pick up a part for my semi truck I was pulling my RV with, the RV would have caught fire and burned to the ground! When I stopped to pick up the part for my semi, I had noticed smoke coming from the wheels on my RV, I walked back to see if one of my electric brakes had happened to get stuck, but every brake on both axles were smoking, and all the bearing buddy's were blown off the axles from the grease expanding from being so hot. I was lucky, had I chose to wait until on my way back to get the part for my semi, I would have been cleaning up one hell of a mess on the interstate, and no longer had an RV & possibly even lost my semi from the fire that was imminent had I not stopped when I did.
