Spent 5 hrs putting all this together and the very first night it collapsed. Returning.

It's not garden season yet so have not set this up. But, the one thing I didn't like, or am a little concerned about is that these are pencil thin. We will see how it turns out.

I am not impressed by this set. These brittle fiberglass rods are so thin; they are literally less than the diameter of a drinking straw. I suppose if you use these in a greenhouse setting, where there will never be any wind, they could work. The clips are laughable. They are not clips. It's just a piece of soft, molded plastic with a groove that you're supposed to shove down over the rods. There is no spring, no tension, just the piece of plastic. One could reasonably assume that you are going to attempt to use a frost cover, row cover, or insect cover with this set. Good luck with that. You can barely snap the "clip" onto the bare rod, much less with fabric or similar in between. Then there is that wind issue again. If you manage to snap the "clip" onto the fabric covered rod, any decent breeze is going to send that little piece of plastic sailing. At least it's a nice, lime green, so you may have a chance of finding it in your garden.I also expected a bit more flexibility from these rods. It takes at least four to six pieces to get any kind of arch, and by then, the arch is SO flimsy, it's really not the least bit amusing. To attempt to gain enough strength in the arches to be able to support a cover, you would have to use so many arches, there really wouldn't be much room in between them to allow you to work your crop. These will not work for me in my beds. I despise waste, so I may try to fashion a mini greenhouse (for use indoors), to try to get some use out of this set.

These were easy to assemble. They work to suspend lightweight fabric over garden beds. They are not very flexible, I used 4 sections to make hoops for a raised bed, and tried 3 sections as well. (Image shows both sizes in one bed.) The 3 section hoops are a little stiff, but still work. It is 30 pieces, but you need at least 3 pieces to make a usable hoop, so the max you could make would be 10 from this kit, depending on the size you want. They do appear to be sturdy and seem like they will hold up to the elements.

These rods are stronger than they look. When putting them together and seeing how few I could use to make a U shape, I was sure they would snap. I did not push it to the extreme though.3 of these attached together barely makes a U. Four or more does the trick. If you need smaller U shapes or a sort of frame, the plastic green connectors work for it. You can connect two rods and the connector flexes in the middle. But rather than a U, it makes a V. You can combine the two.The connectors that let you attach the rods end to end are often difficult to slide over the ends. So if you are not over strong, you may need help. Getting them off is also difficult for about half of what I tried. They vary. The green bendable connectors also could be used to clip on thin mesh as well. Nothing thick.Overall these are useful. time will tell if I will love them but I do like them. I do like that I can take them apart for storage off season.
