The plastic that goes onto the barb was not tight and created a leak that allowed air to enter and the fuel pump would not pump enough fuel for the motor

Threads are wrong as another reviewer stated. The plastic pickup is cheap kinked garbage. The "screen" is a joke, it was pushed into the end and turned sideways so completely worthless to strain anything. Upon moving it so it would actually function as a screen it basically disintegrated, the thinnest cheapest material you can imagine. Absolute fail I can't believe this is allowed to be sold and put in a fuel tank.

The brown colored fuel line is the original boat pick-line. My new fuel line came apart inside my tank while underway. I had to be towed back to the dock minutes after the install. When I removed the line to check the strainer for debris. The photo tells it all. The plastic fuel line is missing. When fused properly it should never separate from the metal. I reached out to the seller for an replaceand have not received a response. I’ll

This fuel filter is very simple really. It’s made well and easy to install. Your individual fuel tank will determine if it needs to be modified. I had to remove about 3 inches for mine. Any sharp device will work. I’d buy this again.
