No complaints at all on these. They seal lines with no leaks when I need to remove a cylinder for repair, and also keep the cylinder from running fluid everywhere. The box has room for all of them, I even threw in most of another set too. Everything is galvanized and there are no burrs or other bad surprises to be found. At roughly 67 cents each, it's hard to imagine anyone who would call them expensive.A great bargain for a very large set!

This a a great cap kit for those hydraulic hose fittings. You never have these when you need them, now you get a whole selection in one convenient kit. Plenty of sizes included. When you have a broken line and need to remove it to go get a replacement, you can cap the other end off to quite losing even more fluid until you get back with the new hose. Also helpful in testing hyd. systems.

These are awesome for stopping Hudson leaks on hoses.

If you do hydraulic, you know these are pricey, great cost and they work great as well

i think this should be in every truck and trailer shop. get at least 2 of everything. i got tired of working on liftgates and having them drip or squirt all over while changing things out, next time i can plug the lines and cylinders as i go and have some form of control over the leaks. should be handy for my coworkers and their projects too. good materials and fit/finish.

Owning heavy equipment means hydraulics. There isn't much around that. There are several types and sizes of hydraulic fittings out there and it can be a real pain when you are in the field and need something that works NOW.I own several of these kits, this one and the other of the "big four" in fittings. They are amazing. Not only do you get all the fittings, you get multiple and in both male and female. If you blow a line and need to make a quick repair save yourself a lot of hassle by pulling the line and plugging it. Less loss of fluid and faster to bleed the air out later.Whether you need a temporary plug or a permanent one on an extra valve, kits like this have you covered.

* Overall Impression:-Note that there are several variations in the listing, I’m reviewing the 152 piece set.-This is a good value for a good quality set of hydraulic caps in a good quantity and variety of 152 caps (in this variation) in a variety of 12 common sizes and styles from size 4 to 16.-However, the case plastic is a bit on the thinner side and I did find that it had some issues due to the weight of the caps. It would have been better to use a metal vs plastic case for the set due to the heavier weight of the set.-I would have given the set 5 stars vs 4, but there are issues with the sturdiness and durability of the case and it’s ability to hold the weight of the set. I do give the cap set itself a 5 star rating overall, but there were issues with the case as I’ll describe below as why I rated it 4 vs 5 stars.* Pros-what I liked and what worked well:-Good value for the quality, quantity, sizes included.-Good quality, sturdy, well made and nicely finished (for the cap set itself).-152 pieces (in this variation, there are several variations in the listing)-76 ORFS flat face seal and caps in 6 different sizes.-76 JIC cap and plugs in 6 different sizes.-12 different sizes and variations with a good variety of sizes and styles.-For hydraulic lines, caps and plugs.-ORFS flat face, JIC 37-Sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16-Quantities (see the pictures for more details) between 2 and 14 of each one (the larger sizes have fewer in quantity included).-Carbon 45 steel construction, smooth surface.-Resistant to corrosion. Rust, high pressure.-Made for high pressure, high vibration and high temperature use.-Tapered seals.-Easy to use and install.-The case opens and closes securely, is sectioned inside and has a nice inner (not outer, it’s on the inside of the lid) label chart for the sizes and quantities.* Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well:-The plastic case doesn’t hold up well to the weight and heft of the set. There is a reason many of these sets come in metal vs plastic cases and this set would have been a lot better with a metal vs plastic case.-The underside base of the case had cracks and missing areas I had to repair due to the weight of the caps in the case being too heavy for the case. It wasn’t an issue of what happened to it before it got to me, as everything looked normal and as it should otherwise. It was an issue of the plastic in the case just not being able to handle the weight and the shifting of the items in it as it’s on it’s way to you. I think this is going to be an issue for others as well as it was clear nothing happened to it to cause this. The case is sturdy enough for most items and would otherwise work well, these are just heavy and it’s a bit too heavy for the case.* Tips & Thoughts:-Be sure and check the listing pictures and details to be sure they’ll be the right size, style and quantity for your use. You may want to print, save or refer to the listing pictures and details to show the sizes and quantities included in each size and style.-Since the case had issues on the underside of it on the base that I needed to fix (some of it was cracked, some smaller areas fully missing due to areas coming apart out of the plastic), I did take some sturdy duct tape to reinforce the underside of the case and cover the cracks and small openings where plastic was missing. I wouldn’t trust this fix alone if I was moving them around a lot or transporting them. As an extra precaution, I took the outer carton they came in, as it was small and fit it well, and removed the cardboard lid with scissors and it left me with a cardboard under tray to use under it during storage. Since it’s going on a workbench shelf this just gives a little extra protection if the tape doesn’t hold. If you’re going to be moving it or transporting it a lot you may have to figure out a better solution if your case has these issues as well on the base. I’d suggest really checking and looking at the base to be sure it doesn’t have these issues as I think many will.-Note this is fairly heavy when you pick it up, so be careful.-We used several of them on an older Case tractor hydraulic line we’re working on and they worked well (once you figure out the size) and went on easily.
