I was 🤏🏾 this close to returning this lens when I failed to operate with my Canon M50 despite updating my settings to enable shutter release without lens attached. Turns out I wasn’t properly selecting option number 1!!!That being said if your lens doesn’t appear to be working that’s probably the case if you’re new to manual lenses like I am.I’ve been playing around with the camera for a few minutes now and I’m impressed. I’m actually ecstatic about what I’ve been able to capture. My main goal with this lens was to be able to vlog with it. I’m on a very very tight budget which has some limits. I saw some options on other sites for similar price but they were used. For example the Meike mk 12mm f2.8 for ef m lenses is available for under $150 in various places but I don’t want anything used right now.The focus ring is decent, it could be more firm. The aperture ring is farrr too lose for me but that’s what tape is for 🤷🏾♀️ lol.DEFINITELY get a variable ND filter if you want to film outside and be able to keep aperture as open as it can be for blurred background. The distortion is quite minimal. Definitely not giving fisheye like I feared.I took this test shot right when I got the camera to recognize lens.So far…I am pleased!!! Manual focus is different but far far from impossible.

I had to return it. Please note these are for cropped sensor cameras and not full frame even if the mount is the same.

Recomiendo.

This lens is well built with good image quality and just heavy enough to not feel cheap. Manual focus and great lens for the price.

I'm not a pixel-peeper, but I have a certain baseline expectation, even for an inexpensive lens. This lens performs like it's plastic, or a toy lens. Zoom into any shot and there is zero sharpness, just a mush of smeared pixels, really completely unusable. Can't imagine how even the most casual user would find any value in this despite the width.

I only use manual lenses, so this was natural for me. I have a couple of other 7 Artisans lenses and have been surprised by the quality of the lenses and the images. This one is no exception. I mostly do product videos and this lens ends up on my camera almost all the time. I love it.

I am always hesitant about non auto-focus lenses. But this one is clear and easy to use. I have only used it on one shoot so far but am happy with the results.
