Very cute teapot and cups (with cup plates) for the price. It’s nice and heavy and I like the worn iron look. Also came with a plate to hold the teapot itself to protect whatever you’re setting it on.

They say this pot can be placed on a stove top but in the booklet with the product it clearly says this is not recommended because of enamel coming off...

We use this tea set every weekend! So far, it’s durable and it performs well. The size is great for 2 persons. I love the way it looks and it’s not too heavy but it has a good feel to it!

The pot is lovely and well made, but the photos don't show how shallow and how wide it is. It holds the amount of liquid that we were looking for, but it is awkwardly squatty. If I had known the measurements (I see the ones for the box but not for the teapot), I would not have purchased it. As it was a gift, I didn't return it.

If you're on the fence about buying this, and going through the reviews, hoping to talk yourself into it, then look no further! The quality is excellent, the paintwork and colour is beautiful, and it could probably double as a blunt force weapon if someone dares interrupt you tea hour.I would definitely suggest getting a matching cast iron warmer for it though, as I personally like to take my time, and despite it being thick metal, doesn't really keep the tea hot any longer than any other teapot. It needs a source of warmth underneath. I'd also use at least 2 candles underneath though. One doesn't seem to be enough.I have a glass teapot too, and I have even taken to using two underneath it to keep it hot enough. If Amazon suggests to you to buy one...get the damn warmer, lol! I promise, you'll be glad you did!Be sure to have somewhere nice to display it though, when not in use. It would be a crime to simply put it in a cupboard! It's a work of art! It needs to be seen!

This teapot is beautiful to display and a pleasure to use. I gave it to my granddaughter for her 13th birthday. She displays it on the shelf over her desk and uses it often. I also got her an assortment of loose tea so she could experience brewing different flavors.

This is a great product. Made from cast iron as it has some weight to it. Beautifully crafted. The pot keeps the tea hot/warm for a few hours. The defused fits the pot very well and leaves less that 1/2” to the bottom of the pot, so your tea continues to brew while you are drinking it! I have only had it 1 day and I am already suggesting this product to my friends!Only thing to keep in mind. These are CAST IRON. So they do get warm/hot to the touch. Use care when using freshly boiled water as this causes the tea pot and the cups to get warm/hot.

I have truly enjoyed having this tetsubin. The ceramic coating makes it easy to clean and rust is not an issue inside the pot. There's no need to scrub the outside, just rinse with hot water and allow it to dry. Some things to consider before purchase:1) I experienced a little bit of rust on the bottom of one leaf coaster for the cup, but it cleaned up easily with a little mineral oil. (That's to be expected with any exposed iron left to dry on a drying mat.) The bottom of the leaves are the only exposed iron of the whole set.2) The item arrived with a small imperfection on the lid where black ceramic glaze had touched and small imperfections where the gold rims were not consistent along the edge of cups. I have enough experience with pottery to know how challenging it can be to dip cups into glaze without coating the outside of cups before sending to the kiln. For me, this is a testament that the set has been hand painted and dipped rather than machine dipped.3) The teapot and cups are hot to the touch when in use; the teapot keeps the tea hot and somehow the tea cools quickly for consumption once poured into the cups.4) The tetsubin cannot be boiled directly on the stove because it is glazed. Those who want to drink rust for iron deficiency should find an unglazed tetsubin.5) The tetsubin is handmade in China, not Japan. This doesn't bother me in the least, but some people are tetsubin snobs lol.Overall, I love having this tetsubin. It is unique and the human imperfections add to its charm. It is beautiful. You will have to order the other two cups separately. FYI Giving gifts of 4 (i.e. 4 cups) is a huge faux pas to Japanese friends/coworkers/clients. Fair warning.
