They are fine for light to medium duty, they will distort with too much pressure or weight. But good little clips for the price if you don’t need much power.

Several issues.1. Out of alignment, must fidget with it in order to get it to fully close. If you need one hand free such when climbing, then I'd pass on these as you will need 2 hands to get it to fully close.2. As everyone else is reporting, All 8 arrived with a thick rust residue right in the package. Would never aesthetically survive outside for a week.3. Razor blade sharp edges (see yellow circles and arrows.) Cuts to the skin and rust don't go together well. The sharp edges may be the reason why the closure gets hung up. I thought maybe it was an issue with 1 or 2 of them, nope, all 8 are the same.If you are looking for these to be used around fabrics or climbing rope, these are not recommended because the sharp edges will definitely compromise the rope fibers. Personally I'm using mine in conjunction with rope for some indoor activities. So they should be fine. I'm going to file down the edges with my dremil tool. So would probably be ok if used indoors.

If you’re shopping for a key ring carabiners and are reading this review, you have my deepest, deepest sympathies. You’ve probably made it to Item page 68 for industrial key carabiners and are starting to wonder if those keys are even worth it anymore. I’ve been down that rabbit hole a few times in search of heavy duty clips for the plant keys for my team and myself, and I hope to never do it again. I selected these out of anger and frustration because I wanted something specifically designed for maintenance teams that wasn’t retractable, but I did not find anything like that. By god, you can open a bottle with every key clip/ring specified item, but none are designed for repeated removal and a lot of weight for machine and facility keys and small tools. I am happy with the ones that I got and for the price. All 8 are functioning just fine, I was just hoping to find something a bit more trendy looking than the carabiner style we’ve used for years.
