These are not a drop in fit. However the cost does reflect that. They are very easy to fit by using some 180 grit sand paper. Laid the sand paper on my work bench and ran the bushings across the paper. Work some on both bushings for each rail. Took all of a few minutes for them to fit perfectly.

Perfect solution for my seat bushing repair

I gave it 3 stars for the simple reason that it did take out the slack. But was a pain to get the seat to move after installation. Had to work it back and forth many times all the while the motor heats up and had to wait for it to cool down before working it again. Finally starts to work.

If you have loose seats that slide a bit forward and back going down the road, then this is likely the part that needs replaced. They simply disintegrate over time.Installation is a little tricky. I have several important tips1). Mark the left and right side when you remove them. They are not interchangeable (one has left hand threads). Found that the hard way.2) The other important thing is to count the number of turns to disassemble the mechanism. Or measure the distance to the end. If you don’t get them both to match going back in, your seat will be in a bind3) when I installed the bushings, they were really tight. I had to press them in with a vice. Then when I put it all back together the motor wouldn’t move the seat. Turns out I pressed them in a little too far and it was putting the screws in a bind. After disassembling the seat again and prying the bushings and nuts out a bit with a screwdriver and reassembling they worked. It’s a cheap fix. Just takes a lot of time and some patience.

It fit just fine, worked with problem fixed. For a few pieces of plastic it seems to be a bit pricey but there is little other option.

I installed these and the seats would only move so far. I told the internet forum that I used to hammer to make these fit. I was told to sand them down so they fit snug but I could still work them in by hand. I did that and the seats operate properly now.

Price was great. I almost had dealer replace this part & then charge labor. They weren't sure of labor costs, so with help of friend & hubby, the "rocking seat" was fixed in a couple of hours. Possibly saved $600 in labor costs.

These worked fine with one caution, they must be sanded to fit so the captured nut on the screw moves freely enough to align correctly when the mounting nut are tightened. Otherwise they will bind and the motor will not turn or turn very slowly. The second bushing should press in with finger pressure.

Fits perfectly for a Z3. Had to be sanded down to use but otherwise works great.
