Had better quality with the camera on my phone. Disappointing because I bought one of these as a Christmas gift and was unable to return it when the recipient didn't care for it either.

you are better off just using the zoom on your phone camera, the picture sucks and getting it to set in place to even use was a hassle.

Web page shows that it has 40-80 Professional zoom. This item does not have a zoom function.

My previous monocular (10-30x50) had adjustable zoom. Was surprised to see an 80x100 model with adjustable zoom - marketed here in the image as "40-80x professional zoom" and "can be adjusted between 40-80 times" showing photos of the same bird at 40x, 60x and 80x - attached to this review in case they later take down what I'm calling attention to. This monocular does not have any adjustable zoom, only focus. Manual and box make no mention of adjustable zoom (or the claimed power, which has me skeptical it's actually 80x100 non-adjustable). Especially at the price, even on sale this absolutely should not be sold on that straightforward lie about what it can do.

This monocular has razor sharp optical viewing despite what some other reviews say, you must focus it properly. The field of view is excellent and very bright even in low light not night vision like some people think due to the description. I discovered that the bonus feature to this monocular is the close focusing distance is 10 ft. which is amazing. Note that the viewing is razor sharp with brightness and clarity at any focal length that you focus it to. You can also focus it very quickly with either hand. I also like the size for convenience and the rubber non-slip coating. Overall it's a fabulous gadget!
