I purchased this for a customer, and they picked it up some time ago. However, I was surprised to find out that it does not include a hard drive. After double-checking the listing, I did see that it mentions the hard drive is not included, but that information was not clearly visible. Important details like this should be prominently displayed — perhaps in bold — to avoid confusion.Aside from that, I’m assuming everything else is fine, as I have not received any complaints from the customer.

Commonly I don't require to read the setup manual since I install many different makes and models, but this one is different. The manual is also not user friendly, especially for a NEWBEE.However when plugged in and a HDD in place the basic functions are running

The materials are cheap but works to make the cameras work. But when try to record there’s no internal memory and does not accept any form of external storage. I tried several external devices to record and none works. No instructions or support offered.

So I needed to replace my older recorder and I was going to order just the PC board but this deal was only 15$ more so I picked it. Its basically the same as my older sys just sold under a different name but does have the updates like PTZcontrols and what ever. I use XVI and only with 5M cameras So I can set/adjust full color night vision. It works good, setup was easy, Same menu as before. I read alot of unhappy reviews but I think its just a lack of good instructions. I may make a how to setup and get it just right YouTube Video for this Recorder once I get a few IP camera. Just to help out a bit. Happy Recording every one.

Absolute terrible quality. (update) lol as expected the unit just quit. It keeps rebooting itself. Busted 10 days after the return window closed. Figures. Do not purchase this cheap product.

Works better than expected. Easy to setup (after downloading correct software) monitor away or from home HDMI port was nice for compatibility. All my cameras plug and played nice. Settings and me yes were all there.

I thought my old Floureon system was going bad - because of lots of static and cameras going black - but it turns out the power supply for the cameras was failing! So CHECK THAT FIRST. The power supplies for these cheap things are barely able to function or last very long. I took the new power supply that came with this unit and powered my cameras with it - and guess what? They worked perfectly and the picture was sharper than ever! That means - (in my case) it was all about the power supply to the cameras. Just sharing...
