I needed this to add connections to my home built 12v lithium battery box I built to plug telescope gear into. I had almost all the connections you could think of but they never include these barrel connectors. Installed a few of these in box, looks like a trolling motor box with several connection options. Now I can power 2 telescope mounts and 2 ASIAIRs at the same time, easily all night long.

I use them for power connections, not MP3 player hookups. They are good for small projects and have large enough wire to work in most battery operated projects.

Works well and with the included rubber ring/plug it basically makes it water proof when not plugged in. Solid soldering from wire to dc jack and good wire with really well tinned tips.
