Worst PTEX I have ever used. It cracks and peels up as it’s drying. I should have read the other reviews before buying. I leave on a trip in two days and can’t repair my ski properly in time now.

Ever think that you’re going to save a few bucks and win at life? Well, don’t start with this product. The PTEX(or whatever this is) didn’t work at all. It won’t melt properly and only caused unnecessary frustration. The scraper is a scrap of mirror made of chinesium. It might be useful. Maybe.

basic ptex repair kit that's useful for someone wanting to do a simple repair. Includes some black and clear ptex and a metal scraper. I suggest you sharpen the scraper on a file or diamond block before use and round over the other edge to protect your fingers. The scraper has some protective plastic on it that you can peel off. It comes with some very soft sanding sponges that I didn't find useful.

I work in a ski shop and and pretty used to PTEX quality. This isn't great, unfortunately. It dries and flakes when applied and trying scraping off the excess. Super hard to get a smooth, good looking PTEX weld.

especially scraper is so sharp which has round corner, so won't make scratches when u working on.sponge sander is great to clean edge
