The dust extraction is good and leaves a nice smooth surface, maybe even glossy. I ordered these to remove texture from the walls so maybe not used as intended. They do load up with paint much more easily than Wen 60 grit that remains pristine until the aggregate wears down. This would preform well for sanding joint compound, I would think.

I used these with my Wen drywall sander. It was my first time doing drywall; I read a few articles indicating 220 grit mesh versus standard 120/150 was the way to go if you were a beginner. I was very worried about all the dust that would be created. So when I saw these stating dust reduction, I said, why not? Well, they worked as advertised. First, the 220 grit was perfect for sanding without creating aggressive swirl marks. I had almost zero. I did have a couple in the beginning, but that was because I was pressing too hard with the sander. After I backed off the pressure, it was flawless. As to dust between the Wen sander, which was attached to a shopvac, and the mesh construction, I virtually had no dust. I feared cleaning up drywall dust for days through the house, but I didn't have any! Great product for drywall sanding, especially if you use the 220 grit.

I was amazed at how fast they removed drywall compound with little or no clogging.

I bought other kinds before, but they weren't great. So I returned them and bought these instead. They were great. You can sand the ceiling over and over again--a couple of projects. A great buy.

They work, but are not long lasting. But for the price, it is good enough for diy, but not commercial work
