I use this to rappel for saddle hunting and is great. No need to purchase a 100 plus dollar device this works flawless just keep a check on your rope is alot of friction and make sure good climbing rope brand dont go cheap, and will be the best thing you use.

Does what it says it will However there is a discrepancy in the product description, the Text says the Figure 9 is made from 7075 Aluminum Hardened to a T6 condition, the unit as tested with a non destructive method.. an X-ray material identification gun in the lab at work. the unit is 6061, not 7075 I did have two test examples of known material to validate one a Black Diamond Screw Lock Carabiner 7075 and a CMI Rescue 8 6061... this should not cause alarm but the description is in error.

Got this to test and replace my Rescue 8Pros:High-StrengthLightweightEasy Lock-OffLong HandleCons:NoneWhat I received in the package:1 x AOKWIT 9 Rescue FigureThis AOKWIT Rescue 9 Figure product is roughly 9 1/4” x 3” x 1/2” and weighs approximately 6.6oz. The Rescue 9 is made of Aviation Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy which makes it both strong and lightweight. The device has a weight limit of 330 lbs and a break strength of 8.5KN; Tension 4KN and is compatible with 8-12mm rope.What I liked about this device is that it makes descending much easier IMO than the use of a Rescue 8. The 9 allows you to use the friction of the standing and working rope and the descender to control your or brake your descent. The lever handle is much easier to use than having hand brake. The 9 allows you to belay and use the handle for control. It can be used equally as well for rappelling. It’s brilliant.Just be sure to do your due diligence if you plan on using this for climbing. I could not find this manufacturer or product in the database. When you are putting your life on the line … make sure you trust your gear.I was unable to locate any warranty either in the product information or item description.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All in all, I found this to be an effective device. Great replacement for the Rescue 8. While this appears to be a solid product, I would only use this for home use when working on techniques and low fall situations. Hope this information was helpful.
