Sorry, I have been using Purdy for almost 30 years, though only brushes. Painted houses to get by in college and even a few years after. Still use Purdy brushes for my home use today. This cover in my opinion is terrible. It is not dense enough and it holds paint poorly. It will soak it up, but it is just hard to use. Others clearly do not agree, but I was concerned the second I put my hands on it. I use a 5 gallon bucket and a screen/fence. I had a heck of a time getting the excess paint off the roller after dipping. The fence just did not help that much. It seemed to hold quite a bit of paint, But very messy and drips are unavoidable. Think of dipping a sponge in water. Then think of dipping a rag in water. Sponge is dense and the water stays put. The rag is not dense and the water falls from it. The roller cover is not dense. That is the issue, plain and simple. I was an expert painter, now I am just an old 55 year old fart. FYI. It really is hard to describe, just hated it enough to toss in the trash within an hour of using.
