Maybe I'm being unfair here. I mean, it's my fault I mushroomed my tool. I didn't know it wasn't firmly planted in place below the, uh, whatever you call the parts, pins? I guess? I saw that I was turning it and that the pin stopped moving upwards. BUT. I bet a properly produced steel screw/bolt wouldn't have mushroomed, and I can't believe that, for a $40 tool, for a very very particular job and as far as I know is it's only job, that the screw is not made for the task at hand. It is for this reason I rate this at two stars, because I have to give some credit for the base tool. It fits perfectly in place however it doesn't work perfectly due to the nature of worn out door hinges. When I try to do the other door of my silverado, I'll do some messing around if grinding down the mushroomed screw to function again, goes wrong again. That worked to finish my first door, until it mushed again, at which point it was so close to popping out I just grabbed a 8" screw and feed it through hinge holes so I had room to hammer the rest out. Maybe I'll buy a replacement screw that will fit the threads and that will salvage my $40. I do know I will not be buying another $40 tool. I bought mine on a competing website due to saving a few dollars. MAYBE, it is a ripoff product. But seeing what others have said here, I gotta believe every one I find on the internet for purchase, are the exact same product. It is too niche for copycats. It's literally the only thing I could find. A shame that being the only tool in existence, it's maker did not go the distance to ensure the screw was up to par for the task. And maybe that was the point for repeat buys on a niche product................What's the difference between $40 and $45 anyways? In this situation? Seriously. I despise when tool manufacturers skate on materials when it saves them pennies. I get it. "If I sell x amount for x, I'll make x. BUT! If I use inferior materials on the screws and save money, I make more! A penny saved is a penny earned!" OR, just do it right and charge another 5 bucks for your greed because everyone buying it for 40+ would buy it for 45+. We have no choice. But there is a limit and I give cred for them knowing WHERE that limit is at, which is about sub 50 bucks. What a shame with this tool.

WORKS AS IT SHOULD BUT SCREW IS VERY SOFT METAL SO YOU NEED TO GRIND DOWN THE HINGE PIN LIP ON THE TRUCK BEFORE USING. HOPE THIS HELPS

Nice looking tool, but not used too cold to remove the door at this time

Don't even try the old hammer the pins out. Just buy this thing and stop being a tightwad! You need it.
