How can I make my lamp last longer?
- Do not allow the projector to overheat; the primary cause of lamp failure is excessive temperature stress.
- Allow the projector lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes after powering down, and never move the projector during this period or while the lamp is on. The lamp is much more susceptible to damage while it is hot.
- Operate your projector in a clean, relatively dust-free environment to prevent clogging of fans and air filters. These filters should be cleaned regularly.
- Allow plenty of space around the projector's fan or exhaust so excess heat can be dispersed properly.
- Utilize the "economy mode" if it is available with your projector model and is appropriate for your situation. This mode decreases projector brightness but the lamp will last longer.
- Never leave a projector in very hot or very cold environments, for example in a car on a summer or winter day.

I must commend Amazon for the expedient delivery of this part. However, it's unfortunate the part received did not fit as expected .As a note of reference, the original lamp assembly has the white labeling with the assembly part number on it (915B441001).I ordered this lamp replacement for my Mitsubishi WD-60738, and it took a bit of patience to get it to seat. It turns out it never really seated. The replacement lamp assembly is very snug when sliding it inside the housing. There's very little room to maneuver when attempting to seat the assembly, compared to the original. Quite a bit of jiggling finally got the lamp replacement in the housing. However, it would not screw into place. I checked and measured the screw alignments, and other than the screw heads being rather small on this replacement assembly, the thread size and width appear identical to the original. For the life of me I could not understand why the screws would not secure this lamp assembly in the housing. After removing and attempting several times, I had to make the decision this was not going to work.One last thing I wish to mention is when I thought the assembly was connected in the socket of the television housing, it turns out it was not. The original bulb seats snuggly, and you can feel it is connected as you insert it and also as you pull it out. That did not happen with this replacement assembly. While it feels like it's seating, it slides right out easily. I cannot get it to seat and secure properly at all. Unfortunately, this will have to be returned.

Normally, I would order one of these picture bulbs for my Mitsubishi TV that would cost more than twice as much as this one, I thought I’d give this a try, works great. Saved a lot of money, thanks for a good product.
