Please note when installing:
1. Disconnect the water heater from all power sources and water supplies.
2. Open your RV’s kitchen hot water faucet to relieve pressure in the tank,Wait for all the water to drain out of the tank.
3. Take off the burner assembly tubing.
4. Remove the screws from the heating element cover and take it off.
5. Unscrew the wiring from the heater element with a Phillips-head screwdriver.

As others have stated, the sizing in both the threads and rubber gasket seem to vary. Mine screwed in, but under pressure and when heated it has a steady leak, I tried thread sealant and that did not help. It is very frustrating having something like this leak in your RV

I recently replaced my old element with this new one and it made a world of difference. Removal and replacement was easy, although getting to the water heater under a cabinet was not. Shut the power supply off, drained the water heater tank,switched out the elements and in no time I had hot water again! So glad I did this.
