I purchased the center because it looked good and had good reviews. I'm not sure why I did not see any reviews saying that you need a special air hose connector to hook it to any normal air compressor.Got a huge runaround from the company saying they'd never had that complaint before which I can't believe. Then they were supposed to get back to me and never did. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this.

The linear action is great for profiles and sanding against a wall. Hard to compare it against another sander as there aren't really any this size that aren't orbital.

It is a convenient size, is easy to get or make profile blocks for, and it hardly uses any air, only 4cfm! I am a furniture restorer and it has become a tool in heavy rotation in the shop. It is quiet, and fits the hand well. Only downside is there is no dust extraction provision, I'm working on it, but have not yet found a solution.

I use it for doing the linear finish found on stainless steel parts. The small size and reciprocating action are perfect for finishing inside corners. Saves a lot of time compared to doing it by hand. The changeable base plate is helpful for odd shapes.
