Easy Installation

This switch is prone to failing and breaking and will leave you unable to easily open your luggage compartments or engine lid. You won't need any specialist tools to replace it. Simply remove the old switch, disconnect the electrical connector and then fit the connector to the new switch and then fit the whole assembly back into its original location.

Item worked correctly upon installation. I do not recall any instructions being included; I wish there were. It seems a little cheap, but it works for me

It was a 15 minute job (with a little help from a YOUTUBE video). No special tools needed. Works perfectly.

Bought this to replace my original broken switch. After only 6 month the frunk switch is not working anymore. Now I can only use the key yo open it.

Fits perfectly and works on 2006 Cayman S. I found it easiest to remove the old switch by cutting thin pieces of an old credit card and inserting it into the tabs locking the old switch on one side and then pushing it out. Total time to replace the switch was about 15 minutes

Looks like the OEM part, less expensive, and a easy/quick replacement operation. The only warning I would offer is that you're going to need a 5mm hex wrench that is short so that you can get at the back bolt holding the door sill on. I had 3 different 5mm hex wrenches and I still had to go buy another set that was short so it would fit. The other option is removing the entire seat which is a bit much.

My switch for the frunk failed and broke off. It was simple for me to pry out old release module and unplug it. No need to take off entire assembly. It took my time and protected surrounding trim and it came right out. Plugged in the replacement and snapped it right down into the recess. Five minute job.

Looks and feels like the original part (Frankly, I cannot tell). I've had it for few weeks and no issues at all. For the price, it is totally worth it.Installing it is easy: There are many videos on youtube explaining how to do it. It took me about 10 mins
