This seems like a decent set of bits. Nice little pouch they come in. Are sharp for now. I am not sure how long they will hold up but from what I have done with them so far I am happy with them.

This is a good set of spade bits for when you need to make quick, rough holes. The case was pretty good, and kept each bit in place, then closed with velcro. They were lightly oiled, and the ends were quite sharp. It says they're made from "heat-treated medium-carbon steel" so it's nothing special, but for bits like this, I don't think they need to be. Spade bits aren't that difficult to sharpen with a file to extend life, and this steel makes that pretty easy to put a new edge on them. The product page shows the markings in metric, but my set were stamped with SAE, and I like that. They drill as well as a spade bit can be expected to, and the price being pretty low, I'm happy with them.

The set of 9 bits came in a nylon pouch that has a velcro closure and a flap to cover the bits' heads. The heads were lightly oiled, which I assume is because it's medium carbon steel and has the potential to rust; the shafts were not oiled. The heads are well-sharpened. Each bit is held in place with an elastic band at the middle and individual pockets at the base of the shafts so they're not going to bounce around and tear apart the pouch from the inside. Additionally, the flap has two brass grommets that can be used to hang the pouch. The entire set came within a sealable plastic bag that had a silica gel package in it, and that was all inside of a retail box. I've never heard of Batiopv but I'm hoping this set will serve me well. I do wish they'd used rust-proof metal, though.

Are you some of these spayed bits to put holes in the floor joists to run electrical. I probably did about 12 holes with the same bit, and honestly it seemed to cut just as well in the first one as it did on the last. You get nine bits ranging from 3/8 up to inch and a quarter, they do have a hex shank to stop them from spinning in the chuck, then it comes in an nylon case to keep them all in one place. I'm not expecting them to last forever, but for as little time as I usually need them, they'll be good to have around. If you're looking for a decent bit, and you don't have a ton of holes to do, this should suit you well. Great for the home gamer.

For the price, don't expect them to last forever. It's a lower quality metal, but is still initially sharp. I worry about the longevity of the blade, though. I don't use them a lot, so it's not the end of the world if the dull quickly or bend, but it was worth it just for the couple of holes I needed to bore.

I like the tool roll. I had a less complete set that I picked up at the Blue Tool Store a few years back, and always hated not having a good way to store them. This has more sizes for a similar price. All the sizes are spot on.I can't say how this will hold up to heavy use but as a homeowner I don't see any problems here. No initial flaws or dull bits.

***FULL DISCLOSURE: Item was received for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an unbiased review.***These spade bits look cheap and flimsy, and maybe they are, but so far I've been quite impressed. The price is squarely in Harbor Freight territory, but so far these bits have stood up better that my last few HT bit sets did, and still seem decently sharp.I don't know what the longevity of a set like this will be, but so far I've been impressed, and it's hard to argue with the bargain basement price. No complaints here!
