The threads were cut extremely rough. It took mucho excessive force to thread a nut on the shaft. And yes, it was the right size nut. Returned this product and purchased a good one.

Now in my scrap pile. Poor thread quality expect tight threads from galvanized coating Have used this type of material prior but much better quality

My assumption was that hot dipped galvanized would have been done prior to cutting the threaded rod to length. Having the exposed steel ends just invites rust and in my opinion defeats the hot dipped part. One of the pieces has damaged threads, looks like a grinder got loose about 12 or so inches and left a nice clean groove in the threads. For what they charge these should be much better quality. I’ll be looking for another source.Tried to add photos but not sure it happened.
