It works, I got a new battery and it still wouldn't charge through the handy, so I figured I'd try a cradle and a charger. Boy that thing was the cat's meow it works really well. I figured you put the battery on the handy and plug it in and do her that way charge it. I found out that I can charge the batteries without having it connected to the handheld just slip it into the Cradle. Bonus for me so yes it works works really well and yes I would recommend buying one if you have a need.

Works wellWall adapter is smaller then original Kenwood chargers but performs well.Used with 7.2vdc 2100 mha knb-17 battery.

Doesn't come with any instructions. Lights blink with plugging in then stay off until a battery that is acceptable is placed into charger. Then red light comes on
